MEDICARE BULK BILLING

Eye examinations at Park Ridge Eyewear are bulk billed directly to Medicare for eligible patients, meaning no out-of-pocket cost for your consultation. To be eligible for a bulk-billed eye examination, you must hold a valid Medicare card and meet the standard eligibility requirements, including the required interval since your last bulk-billed eye examination.

PREFERRED HEALTH FUND SUPPLIER

Park Ridge Eyewear is a preferred supplier for all major Australian health funds. As a preferred supplier, we are able to offer our patients higher rebates on frames and lenses than they would receive at a non-preferred provider. We process health fund claims on the spot through HICAPS, so there is no need to pay upfront and claim back later.


Health funds accepted include all major Australian funds. If you are unsure whether your fund is accepted, please contact us before your appointment and we will confirm.

SPECTACLE SUPPLY SCHEME

The Spectacle Supply Scheme is a Queensland government programme that provides government-subsidised glasses to eligible concession card holders. Park Ridge Eyewear is a registered provider of the Spectacle Supply Scheme and assists eligible patients through the process from eligibility confirmation through to frame selection and lens supply.


Eligibility generally includes current holders of a pension card or health care card issued by Centrelink. The scheme covers a selection of frames and standard prescription lenses. Our team will explain exactly what is covered and what options are available to you under the scheme.

CONCESSION CARD HOLDERS

We actively support pensioners and concession card holders in accessing the eye care they are entitled to. In addition to the Spectacle Supply Scheme, we offer senior discounts and ensure that all eligible patients are fully informed of the government support available to them. If you hold a pension card or health care card, please let us know when you book, and we will ensure your appointment and eyewear options are arranged accordingly.
