Park Ridge Eyewear was founded in August 2003 by Dean and Jaci Ribic, and it has been family-owned and operated ever since. What began as a commitment to bringing quality, affordable optical services to the Park Ridge community has grown over more than two decades into one of the area's most trusted eye care practices.
DEAN RIBIC: OWNER & OPTICAL DISPENSER
Dean graduated from RMIT University in 1992 as a qualified optical technician dispenser. Before opening Park Ridge Eyewear, he spent over a decade working in privately owned optometry practices, developing the hands-on expertise and patient-focused approach that defines the practice today. With 33 years of experience in glasses fitting, repairs and adjustments, Dean is passionate about eye care and specialises in lens design tailored to each patient's individual needs. He is an old-school lens-fitting technician who can carry out most repairs and adjustments on-site, as well as refit and re-lens existing frames. Outside of work, Dean is an avid AFL fan with a soft spot for Hawthorn and is always happy to talk sport.
JACI RIBIC: PRACTICE MANAGER
Jaci is the heart of the practice's patient experience. As practice manager, she is focused on delivering customer care that goes above and beyond, and she is passionate about helping patients find fashionable eyewear that suits their character and style. Jaci is up to date with all the latest eyewear trends, lives locally in the Park Ridge community and genuinely loves helping people find frames they feel great in.

Hetal Dagar BSCOPTOM BSc Optom
Hetal is an experienced optometrist who is passionate about delivering comprehensive eye care tailored to each patients individual needs. With more than 20 years experience working in practices in the UK and Australia, she has developed extensive expertise in detecting, diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular conditions. In 2022, Hetal was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Award after completing her post graduate qualification in Ocular Therapeutics. This qualification enables her to prescribe therapeutic eye drops, reflecting her commitment to provide the highest standard of patient care. Known for her caring, compassionate and approachable nature, Hetal strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable, supported and at ease throughout their eye examination. Outside work Hetal enjoys spending time with her family and singing in a choir.
Annie Wu BSCOPTOM
Annie graduated from the University of Auckland in 2008 with first class distinction with Bachelor of Vision Science and Masters of Optometry Degree and has over 17 years experience in the industry. Annie joined the team here at Park Ridge Eyewear in 2024 and is fluent in English and Mandarin. She is well respected for her knowledge and comprehensive eye exams. Outside of work Annie likes to Travel and spend time with family.
All of our optometrists are therapeutically endorsed, meaning they can prescribe medications for eye conditions where clinically required, in addition to providing standard optometry services.

Do you bulk bill?
Yes. Eye examinations are billed directly to Medicare for eligible patients. There is no out-of-pocket cost for eligible bulk-billed consultations.
Do you offer government-funded glasses?
Yes. We participate in the Spectacle Supply Scheme, which provides government-funded glasses to eligible pensioners and Centrelink concession card holders.
Do I need a referral to see an optometrist?
No referral is required. You can book directly with us for an eye examination or consultation.
Is an appointment required?
Yes, appointments are required for eye examinations. Please call us on 07 3802 2299 to book.
Are glasses assembled on site?
Yes. We assemble glasses in-store, which means faster turnaround and the ability to carry out many repairs and adjustments on the spot.
What health funds do you accept?
We are a preferred supplier for all major Australian health funds. We also accept HICAPS, Medicare, pension cards, health care cards, Veteran Affairs Gold Card, and cash.
